Festival of the Strait parade returns + a look back at years gone by

After a hiatus, one of Port Hawkesbury’s most beloved traditions is returning this summer! The Festival of the Strait Parade will take place on July 5.

The organizing committee is inviting businesses, organizations, sports teams, schools, clubs, service groups, and individuals to take part and help create a vibrant, community-focused event that everyone can enjoy.

The parade will give participants the opportunity to showcase creativity, community pride and local spirit through floats, walking groups, and unique entries.

Registration deadline is June 19th at 4pm.

Awards will be presented in several categories, including:

  • Best Overall
  • Most Creative
  • Best Theme Presentation
  • People’s Choice
