First Director of Tourism for Antigonish

Get ready for increased tourism in Antigonish!

The Antigonish Tourism Association has appointed Lynne DeLorey as their first Director of Tourism.

She tells our newsroom there’s unlimited reasons to plan a visit, including events, beaches, trails, restaurants, accommodations and day trips.

“We all have this vision that your season is, you know, July, August, and some September, but we have lots of assets, locally, regionally, that Antigonish can be a year-round destination,” she explains.

She says she’s very excited about this dream job with her tourism background, which includes owning an inn and managing the Antigonish Visitor Information Centre.

“It seemed like a no brainer when the role became available, and it was exciting times for me. I can bring to fruition what I’ve always been thinking of,” stated DeLorey.

She’s looking forward to connecting with stakeholders, governance, tourism venues and local events to form a growing collaboration together.
