A young ATV driver is facing serious charges.
On the morning of July 18th in Antrim, the Halifax District RCMP responded to a call for assistance from the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables where it was reported that a peace officer conducting a traffic stop sustained injuries from an ATV while the driver was fleeing the scene.
The youth responsible was later arrested and will appear in court on a later date. The charges include dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm and flight from a peace officer.
The suspect has been released to the care of their parents.
