Highway 105 improvements planned in Inverness County

A section of Highway 105 in Inverness County will be repaved as part of Nova Scotia’s ongoing highway upgrade plan.

The work will cover about four kilometres west of Exit 6 near Route 223. The province says the tender will be issued soon, with completion expected in the fall.

MLA Kyle MacQuarrie says Highway 105 plays a key role in connecting Cape Breton with the mainland and is a vital trade corridor to Newfoundland.

The province has committed $161 million to resurfacing work this year under its five-year highway plan.
