Inverness County wants feedback on sewer and water bylaw

Inverness County is looking for feedback as they consider getting rid of a sewer and water bylaw.

Bylaw 50 was created to amend Bylaw 30 – adding a connection charge for those who live on Maple Street and access the Inverness water and wastewater system.

The street was not included in the original Capital Cost of Sewer and Water Construction bylaw.

The fees included in Bylaw 50 are now in the new Municipal Fees Policy implemented in October.

If you’d like to give your input, the next council meeting is on December 4 at 9:30 a.m. in Council Chambers in Port Hood.

Written submissions must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on December 3, 2025, to:
