Legislature begins spring-session today

The spring-session of the Nova Scotia Legislature begins this afternoon.

The house will sit from 1-6.

Finance Minister Allan MacMaster will deliver the 2023-24 budget on Thursday, the second under the Progressive Conservative government.

Last year, they ran a 506 million dollar deficit, but in their latest update in December, it shrunk to 142 million.

The PC’s have been busy with funding announcements the past few weeks.

The opposition parties say they’ll be focused on healthcare and the cost of living as major issues.
