A hockey player from the Quad Counties has received a provincial honour.
Port Hawkesbury’s Brady MacNeil was recently named to the Nova Scotia U16 AAA Hockey League first all-star team.
The 17-year-old centre, who plays for the Cabot Highlanders, recorded 24 points (14 goals, 10 assists) in 18 games during the 2020-21 season.
MacNeil and the Highlanders, who won their first two rounds of the playoffs, advanced to the league final against the Kings; however, the latest COVID-19 restrictions meant the series had to be cancelled.
