Man charged with break and enter of fire department

The man charged for a break-in at a fire department in Guysborough County appeared in court on Wednesday, January 28.

According to RCMP, the theft occurred at Seven Communities Volunteer Fire Department on Hwy. 344 in Hadleyville in October.

Backup fuel and donated prizes for their grand opening were taken, while essential tools and equipment needed for firefighting were left untouched.

Brent Chisholm is charged with break and enter with intent.

The 27-year-old from Summerside is scheduled to attend Antigonish Provincial Court on February 25 for election and his plea.
