Members of the Antigonish Affordable Housing Society have won $100, 000.
They’ve been announced as winners of the Aviva Community Fund Competition- it will go towards their Housing for Hope project.
The announcement was made Tuesday afternoon.
Work is currently being done towards their second phase of units; reps have said they hope the slab can be filled in before the snow hits.
They’ve said with luck on their side, they could have the building that will include a community room ready in May.
The new structure will have ten units for rent.
