Mike Kelloway Announces Funding for Guysborough Waterfront Development Society

Cape Breton-Canso MP Mike Kelloway made a special announcement in Guysborough County earlier today.

On behalf of the government, a non-repayable contribution of $73.500 will go towards the Guysborough Waterfront Development Society to help rejuvenate the waterfront.

This investment will be used to repair the damaged dock, install solar powered lights, and make other improvements. A repaired anchorage will allow for larger vessels to dock in Guysborough Harbour allowing for more visitors. People that visit the community will provide an economic benefit.

Kelloway says this investment will also allow Guysborough to continue to be a welcoming place to visit. He would like to thank the volunteers of the society for their hard work and their commitment to improving the Guysborough Waterfront.
