Inverness MLA and Deputy Premier Allan MacMaster tabled a petition in the Nova Scotia legislature.
The petition was signed by those in favour of increasing wages for early childhood educators.
The province does plan to increase wages, but the petition called for the House of Assembly to make the increases a priority.
97 people signed the petition including MacMaster.
