Monthly Provincial Impaired Driving Statistics for November

Road Safety Continues to be a top priority for the Nova Scotia RCMP. To keep citizens informed about enforcement on the roadways the RCMP has been keeping track of impaired driving violations.

For the month of November, 123 drivers were charged with impaired related offences. Most of those charged were impaired by alcohol. Some drivers were charged with failing to provide breath samples and failing to comply, this can result in charges.

People that suspect that someone is driving under the influence or if they see anyone driving erratically should call 911 right away. If you call 911, you will be asked to provide your location, a description of the vehicle, and the direction the vehicle traveled.
