More Help for Residents of Inverness Following Hurricane Fiona

Residents of Inverness District impact by Hurricane Fiona can expect more financial assistance from the Houston Government.

$1.39 Million will go to The Canadian Red Cross to cover hotel costs for people displaced by the storm.

This comes in addition to a recent investment of $700.000 to United Way Cape Breton to provide emergency home repair and other essentials.

Inverness District MLA Allan MacMaster says the government is committed to the wellbeing of the people they serve, and these investments will help them to continue their good work.

To date, the province announced more $40 Million will assist Nova Scotia residents and businesses in the aftermath of the hurricane.
