It has been a busy year for Cape Breton Canso MP Mike Kelloway and a lot was accomplished in the riding. “When I think about this past year substantial investments have been made in the Quad Counties, I think about the Port Hawkesbury Waterfront, I think of the new Guysborough Community Hub, I think of substantial investments in environmental stewardship and retrofits for Antigonish County.” Stated Kelloway. “Even during challenging times people in the Quad Counties step up and they do what they can to help the community.” Kelloway saw this firsthand through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund, they were able to raise substantial funds for community groups.
Kelloway welcomes the investments made by the Federal Government for dental care and childcare. In the new year, Kelloway will continue to advocate for funding for healthcare in Nova Scotia and will work to improve affordability as the inflation crisis continues, so we can come out of the crisis stronger than before. An announcement on new infrastructure for our region is expected to be made soon. The possibility of Antigonish County joining the Cape Breton Canso riding will also be discussed by a committee in 2023.
Kelloway believes that the Cape Breton Canso riding is the best in terms of diversity and opinion.
