Mulgrave Maintenance Update

The Town of Mulgrave has been busy conducting maintenance projects throughout the community. 1.2 kilometres of Main Street was paved along with MacLeod Street. Mayor Ron Chisholm says this was a huge undertaking and residents will be happy to drive on a smooth road without potholes. He added that paving on Main Street needed to be done because people were driving on the wrong side of the road to avoid potholes, creating a safety hazard for motorists.

The new bridge replacing the Baily Bridge has opened and the rest of Bailey Bridge is expected to be completely removed by Thursday. Once the old bridge is removed, the crews will tie in Main Street with the new bridge and they will then start paving the nearby Mill Street.

Going forward the town hopes to pave more streets in the community that are in need of repairs.
