After hearing recommendations from their audit committee, The Municipality of The District of Guysborough approved their 2021-2022 financial statements at a special council meeting yesterday.
Warden Vernon Pitts says the municipality has been spending responsibly within the budget.
The budget from last year was over 17 million dollars and this year they had a budget surplus of over 400,000 thousand dollars made possible by a transfer tax.
The town also approved phase two of the Cutlers Brook Estates contract, A municipal project.
