You’ve been hearing about wildfires in Alberta, but there’s also a serious situation up north.
Nova Scotia is sending 20 firefighters and an agency rep to help fight large, out-of-control wildfires near Yellowknife.
Minister Tory Rushton says firefighters did tremendous work battling wildfires in Shelburne and conditions are good to send crews elsewhere.
Fires near Hay River have burned more than 3,200 hectares.
Current fire conditions in our province’s wildfire resources to be shared but they can be called back if things change.
