N.S. reaches milestone for one person, one record health system

One of the government’s major health care promises is almost here.

The one patient one record system will come online Saturday at the IWK. Staff will be available throughout the process to ease the transition for health care workers.

It will tie your health data to a single record and make it easier to access no matter where you get medical care.

In 2023, the province hired a company to develop the software on a 10-year contract worth $365 million.

The one patient one record system will come online for Health Nova Scotia by the end of 2026.
