Neighbours Helping Neighbours

Let’s be honest. This is a weird time. This is an uncertain time. Many of us are feeling anxious (you are not alone) and stressed.

Many in our communities are facing the reality of being more vulnerable to COVID-19 such as seniors and the immune compromised.

If you are in a position to help them, while still adhering to the social distancing guidelines, you are encouraged to do so.

The Town of Port Hawkesbury is working towards forming a group of volunteers who can help with tasks like:

  • Pick up and drop off of prescriptions
  • Pick up and drop off of groceries
  • Food Bank tasks
  • Dog walking

If you wish to volunteer please email: info@townofph.ca or phone: 902-625-2591 (You must be able to provide a recent (within the past year) copy of a criminal record check and child abuse registry)

Various Facebook Groups have been created for communities across the Quad Counties
