New Glasgow Regional Police Arrest Impaired Driver

The New Glasgow Regional Police arrested a 24-year-old Pictou County man for impaired driving, after following up on a report of a suspected impaired driver.

At around 10:12 PM last night, the police located a driver of a Red Dodge Caliber on East River Road in the community. The suspect was arrested and taken to the police station where he provided a breath sample, his breath samples were four times the legal limit.

The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in January for charges of impaired driving. His vehicle was towed, and his license was suspended.

The New Glasgow Regional Police would like to thank the public for continuing to report suspected impaired drivers. They also ask the public to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 911.
