Nova Scotia Health Representatives Provide Update to Inverness County Council

Representatives from the Nova Scotia Health Eastern Zone met with the elected officials of the Municipality of the County of Inverness to discuss ongoing healthcare issues at the facilities in the region.

County CAO Keith MacDonald says the problem surrounding the influx of patients at the Inverness Hospital appears to be on the mend, but they are still dealing with staffing issues at other sites in the county.

Going forward, the county plans to work with Nova Scotia Health to recruit more health care workers and encourage youth to pursue a career in healthcare and let them know about the available oppurtunites in Inverness County.
