The Provincial Liberals are calling on the Tim Houston government to be more up front with Nova Scotians about long term care wait times.
They say that a month and a half after the Long Term Care Minister said the list of wait times would be released they still are yet to be seen.
Seniors and Long Term Care Critic Kelly Regan says it’s hard for Nova Scotians to plan ahead for their loved ones without knowing the real situation.
Regan adds that we don’t know the impact Omicron has had on wait times either because they haven’t been released.
“Premier Houston claimed repeatedly that he’d run a transparent government,” says Regan. “Nova Scotians need access to those wait times and this government needs to step up now to share that information every month.”
