The Dr JH Gillis Regional Royals Boys hockey team captured the Northumberland Region Division 1 Boys Championship on Friday night in Trenton.
The Royals defeated North Nova Grpyhons by a score of 7 – 2.
Scoring for the Royals were Brody McLaren with 2 Seth Mattie, Phoenox Lydon Ryan, Alexander MacDonald, Duncan Chisholm and Nelson Leuschner adding singles. Matthew MacEachern picked up the win in nets
The Royals now advance to the NS Division 1 hockey provincials which take place in Westville beginning Friday March 6th
