NS Power Hurricane Fiona Update

NS Power crews continue to focus on the customers who remain without electricity following Hurricane Fiona.

Over 4000 of the remaining customers are in the Northeastern Region mostly in the Pictou and Colchester Counties. Cape Breton and the Northeast Region suffered the most significant damage from the storm.

The majority of the remaining customers in Cape Breton are expected to have their power restored by tomorrow and the majority of customers in the Northeast should have their power restored on Sunday.

The remaining restoration efforts are very difficult and can take longer as heavy equipment is needed to remove trees and debris and several crews are needed to do the work.
