In a shining example of what can happen when a community comes together, $17,303.65 was raised for Matthew LeBlanc and his family.
Matthew is 13 years old and has faced many health issues including 2 kidney transplants and a recent cancer diagnosis.
Fundraising started last week with a trivia night in St Peter’s followed by a family fun day on Saturday with live music, auctions, bake sales and more at Tamarac Education Centre in Port Hawkesbury, capped off with a dance at the Royal Canadian Legion.
The events came together thanks to many caring volunteers.
