A petition calling for a plebiscite vote on the proposed consolidation of the Town and County of Antigonish is expected to be put on tonight’s agenda of the county’s regular council meeting.
The petition had over 1500 signatures from area residents. and was brought up by councillor Harris Mcnamara at their last committee of the whole meeting.
Warden Owen McCarron wants to assure those that signed the petition, that it will be reviewed.
