Police seize large quantity of edibles and tobacco in Inverness Co.

Police have seized a large quantity of edibles and tobacco following a traffic stop in Wagmatcook.

RCMP say they stopped a vehicle for erratic driving on Hwy. 105 in Wagmatcook Wednesday.

They say a search of the vehicle revealed 152 cartons of unstamped tobacco, 1,412 grams of homemade cannabis resin, 966 grams of homemade cannabis butter, 32 grams of cannabis marihuana, 3 packs of cannabis cotton candy, 37 packages of cannabis chocolates, 37 packages of homemade cannabis candy.

Police arrested the 68-year-old driver from Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador, and charged him with possession of cannabis and possession of unstamped tobacco.

He’s set to appear in Wagmatcook Provincial Court May 6.
