Port Hood water customers will have service suspended if they don’t conserve

A community in the Quad Counties is extremely low on water.

Inverness Co. officials say strict water conservation is in effect for Port Hood.

They say customers who do not conserve water may have their water service suspended until they agree to comply and they would be required to pay the charge for re-establishing water service.

Port Hood water customers are asked to not wash vehicles, houses, boats, trucks or trailers.

Do not take baths or long showers, use bottled water for brushing teeth and avoid washing clothes and avoid running your dishwasher.

Free jugs of water can be picked up at the Judique Fire Hall, Inverness Co-op and the Port Hood Co-op.

The low water levels also closed Bayview Education Centre last week.

The SRCE did not make a call yet for school on Monday in Port Hood.
