More Covid 19 Testing is coming to Cape Breton this week according to Premier Tim Houston.
In yesterday’s Covid update, Houston spoke directly to Cape Breton’ers about the availability of tests and what is being done to ensure more testing capacity moving forward.
“Capacity has been added in Sydney along with more rapid testing kits.” He says.
The Premier also said that another shipment of rapid tests should be arriving soon.
He also noted that a number of new testing centres and mobile units are being added to the roster.
“One will open in Glace Bay tomorrow, Sydney Mines, Membertou, plus mobile units will be on the ground hopefully by Friday.” Houston says.
Nova Scotia announced 842 new Covid 19 cases yesterday, including 141 in the Eastern Zone.
