If you’ll be travelling, keep in mind some areas of the Maritimes may get freezing rain this week.
Environment Canada has issued special weather statements for parts of northern mainland Nova Scotia for Thursday night and Friday.
Although the track of the system is uncertain, the forecaster says Antigonish, Colchester, Cumberland, Inverness, Pictou and Victoria counties could see 4 hours or more of freezing rain.
The risk will be greater over high terrain.
Significant freezing rain is possible for southern New Brunswick too, except the Fundy Coast.
