Province House to mark coronation of King Charles

We’re less than a month away from the coronation of King Charles.

Province House in Halifax will join in the celebrations during the week of May 1st to 7th to honour the historic occasion.

The building will be lit up in emerald green and gold.

Lt. Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc will unveil an exhibit devoted to the King’s life on May 2nd.

He’ll also be at a swearing-in ceremony for new Canadians citizens.

In a release, Speaker of the House of Assembly Keith Bain says since Province House opened in 1819, nine monarchs have aceded to the throne.

Their portrats hang on the walls of the second floor.
