Rainfall Warning In Effect For Halifax, South Shore

Halifax and the South Shore are under a rainfall warning.

Environment Canada says up to 80 millimetres of rain are in the forecast today, with local amounts exceeding 100 millimetres.

This could create localized flooding and wash-outs.

The warning extends from the city down to Shelburne County.

The rain is expected to let up tonight.
