Arrest made in suspicious death on Antigonish County First Nation

The major crime unit in Nova Scotia is investigating a suspicious death in Antigonish County.

RCMP were called early Sunday morning about a sudden death at a home on Petow Loop Extension in Paq’tnkek.

The victim is a 40-year-old man and is from the First Nation.

A 27-year-old Paq’tnkek man was safely arrested at the scene and is currently in custody.

At this time, investigators do not believe this was a random act and there’s no risk to the public.
