Two people have died following a two-vehicle crash in Guysborough Co.
RCMP say a van and a pick-up collided head-on on Rte. 344 in Manchester at roughly 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
They say the driver of the van, a 64-year-old woman from Guysborough Co., and the pick-up truck, a 53-year-old man from the Cape Breton Regional Municipality, were pronounced dead at the scene; they were the only people involved.
That section of road was closed for roughly five-and-a-half hours while police investigated.
There’s no word on the cause of the collision at this point.
