Richmond County Names May as Lyme Disease Awareness Month

The Municipality of the County of Richmond is recognizing May as Lyme Disease Awareness Month.

Black legged ticks can be found all across Nova Scotia and carry a variety of potential illnesses, Lyme Disease being one of them.

The County wants to educate people in order to prevent occurrences of Lyme Disease.

They say one big thing you can do to be safe is a daily tick check and if you find one on you, remove it properly.
