Richmond Education Centre and Academy Student Raise Funds for Autism Initiavitves

Three Different Quad County organizations will receive funding for their autism programs thanks to the hard work of Grace Dewolfe. The Grade 12 student at Richmond Education Centre and Academy feels that it is very important to draw attention to the need for more autism programs something she has been passionate about since elementary school.

Dewolfe raised funds through a number of different projects such as selling baked goods, and hand-crafted magnets along with accepting personal donations. A total of $1002 was raised and $334 will be put towards RECA, The East Richmond Education Centre, and The Autism Nova Scotia Strait Area Chapter to support their programming for people on the spectrum.

A statement from the local chapter said Dewolfe is always willing to help in any way she can, and they are grateful for her hard work
