Richmond is going to develop a clean fuels strategy for the Strait of Canso.
The province is giving over $221,000 through a fund that helps support green hydrogen projects.
The municipality says they want to harness the potential for local heavy industry.
Warden Lois Landry adds it’s going to create a road map on how to decarbonize key areas of the local economy and attract new industry.
It’s one of seven projects in the province totalling $3 million.
