Boudreau focused on healthcare, housing, and roads

Richmond’s PC candidate said healthcare, housing, and infrastructure are his biggest concerns.

Trevor Boudreau is carrying the Tory banner in the new protected riding.

Boudreau told The Hawk he’s heard a lot knocking on almost 1500 doors.

“We hear a lot about healthcare and certainly rural has its struggles,” he said. “We’re short doctors, we don’t have access to proper mental healthcare, our long-term care facilities are struggling.”

Boudreau said healthcare isn’t the only issue for people in the riding.

He said he’s also heard a lot about housing and infrastructure.

“Something people aren’t maybe necessarily knowing much about is affordable housing, and housing in general, is really creeping up here,” he said. “That’s a big struggle I’m hearing a lot about.”

He said cell coverage, internet, and roads are essential infrastructure for rural areas.

Boudreau was selected to represent the PCs in the riding almost a year ago, in August 2020.

He was one of the first candidates declared in the province.
