All schools in the Strait Regional Centre for Education (SRCE) are closed today due to heavy snowfall.
Some campuses of the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), such as the Strait Area Campus and the Wagmatcook Learning Centre, are also closed.
Environment Canada has issued a Snowfall Warning, predicting the area could get 10 to 20 centimetres of snow.
Forecasters are expecting the snowfall to ease by the afternoon.
