Search and rescue team training on Sunday in Antigonish

The Strait Area Ground Search and Rescue volunteers, along with the RCMP, will be conducting an urban search training exercise in Antigonish.

You may see search and rescue responders within public spaces or going door-to-door on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The volunteer responders are on call everyday of the year to give assistance with searches, rescues, and other emergency responses.

Serving the largest operating area in Nova Scotia, the team covers Antigonish County, Richmond County, and parts of Guysborough, Inverness, and Victoria Counties.

They appreciate your patience and support as they complete this essential training.
