Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands to close temporarily

You soon won’t be able to hike on the busiest trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park for several days.

The Skyline Trail will close temporarily for maintenance work.

In a post on social media, the park says it was a busy winter season, so it needs to replace and repair worn steps and boardwalks for safety and sustainability.

You are asked to plan ahead and use one of the parks other trails, respecting the closure.

The park thanks you for your cooperation.

The trail will be closed from May 5- May 15.
