The latest StFX athletes of the week have been announced.
Tane Caubo, a forward with the X-Men soccer team, is the male winner after he recorded five goals and three assists in a pair of weekend road games in New Brunswick; Caubo had three goals and two assists and was named player of the game in Saturday’s 6-1 win against Mount Allison in Sackville, then had two goals and an assist in Sunday’s 3-3 tie against UNB in Fredericton.
Jane Hergett, a member of X-Women cross country, earned female honours; she was the individual winner in the StFX Invitational 6k race with a time of 21:54.53, helping the X-Women to a first-place team finish Saturday.
Quarterback Bailey Wasdal, linebacker Dezain Brooks, and kicker/punter Keiran Burnham are the X-Men football players of the week following Saturday’s 21-13 home loss to Saint Mary’s.
