Hospital services returning to normal after historic snowstorm

Some non-emergency services are resuming for Cape Breton Island, Antigonish and Guysborough counties as the post-storm cleanup continues.

Nova Scotia Health reminds people not to travel to a scheduled care appointment if it is unsafe for them to do so and to consider rebooking any non-urgent appointments.

Emergency departments are open unless there is a temporary closure scheduled at the site.

Meantime, the emergency department at Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston will be closed Friday from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
