Annual spring weight restrictions are set to come into effect in the Quad Counties.
The weight limit for commercial vehicles will be reduced on posted provincial roads, effective everywhere as of 12:01 a.m. Monday.
The weight restrictions on heavy trucks, already in place in much of the province, are implemented during the spring thaw to help protect roads weakened by the wet, mild weather; restrictions are expected to be in place for roughly two months.
100-series highways are exempt from the restrictions.
