SRSB officials pleased to work with Port Hawkesbury officials

The superintendent of the Strait Regional School Board says they’ll be happy to work with town officials in Port Hawkesbury on the Destination Reeves St. project.

Town staff made a presentation to board members on the project at their monthly meeting in December.

Ford Rice says some changes to the area around the board office and SAERC are in discussion; bussing could also be affected.

After the monthly board meeting Wednesday, Rice said they’re looking forward to the work.

“Very exciting changes that are going to be made of the next number of years,” he said. “Particularly in this area that the school board office is located in now- we’re very excited for the Town of Port Hawkesbury.”

Rice said they’ll have a follow-up meeting with town officials in the near future.
