Two Cape Bretoner’s up for Grammy as part of indie pop band Alvvays

An indie pop band with two Cape Breton’ers in it are up for their first Grammy Award.

“Alvvays” is up Best Alternative Music Performance at the upcoming awards show for their song “Belinda Says”.

Molly Rankin and Kerri MacLellan are members of the popular group.

Rankin is the daughter of the late John Morris, of The Rankin Family.

The band formed in PEI in 2011 and are up against the Arctic Monkeys, Boygenuius, Lana Del Ray and Paramore.
