Two men charged for stunting at 232km/hr near Antigonish

Two Alberta men have been charged with stunting after they were clocked at 232 km/hr in a 110 km/hr zone.

Police say two cars were spotted travelling at high speeds by an off-duty police officer on Hwy. 104 near Monastery Sunday.

They say the vehicles were pulled over after an on-duty officer caught both vehicles on RADAR travelling 122 km/hr over the limit on a twinned section of the highway near Exit 31 to Antigonish.

RCMP say they impounded the two cars: a Chevrolet Camaro and a Mercedes C 63.

The two men, a 48-year-old man from Wetaskiwin, Alberta and a 43-year-old man from Fort MacMurray, Alberta, not named in the release, were each fined $2500 and had their licences suspended for seven days.
