Two New Full Time Doctors Begin Practice at ICMH

Two new doctors are coming to practice at Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Doctor Kathryn Binnersley and Doctor Jasmine Lowry will be working fulltime in their family medicine practice starting this week. Both are graduates of the Dalhousie University Family Medicine Residency program and have spent the past two years working as medical residents in Inverness and other areas of Cape Breton.

Facility manager Heather Gillis is grateful that new doctors will be coming to the area as there is a great need for doctors especially with an aging population and an increase in emergency visits.

Brenda Rankin MacDonald the Charitable fundraising coordinator for the hospital welcomed the announcement and looks forward to having the two doctors onboard.

  • Kelly MacMillan lives in Port Hawkesbury with her husband and son. She has been part of the team at 101.5 The Hawk for more than 25 years, sharing stories from around the region. You can join her weekdays from 10am until 2pm.
