The Municipality of the District of Guysborough announced that due to the ending of the storm surge warning and the reduced risk of coastal flooding, they will be closing their two safe buildings as of 6PM tonight.
The safe buildings are the Chedabucto Lifestyle Complex and the Canso/Hazel Hill Fire Station. The municipality will be evaluating the opening and locations of comfort centres in the hours and days to come.
902-533-2088 will not be monitored after 6PM today and people should call 911 if they find themselves in an emergency.
