Construction for a roundabout in Antigonish is expected to be complete in December.
Public Works says the upgrade to the Highway 4 and Church Street intersection should improve safety for both vehicles and pedestrians.
In the meantime, drivers should use Highway 104 to get from West Street to Beech Hill Road.
The work is taking longer than originally anticipated due to labour, material, and weather issues.
Drivers should expect delays and plan accordingly.
